Beagles are hunting dogs that usually hunt in packs. This is probably why they are extremely social with other dogs. They enjoy chasing and playing with other breeds, big or small.
Beagles have excellent noses. In airports, they are sometimes used to sniff out contraband from luggage such as meat and fruit.
Although beagles can be naughty and misbehave, they are extrememly smart. They are able to learn commands, and even perform tricks.
